Sounders begin march to 2020 MLS Cup with win over LAFC 3-1

Since joining the MLS, the Seattle Sounders have never known what it is to not be in the playoffs. As such, the most battle tested team in MLS history took the pitch and spanked an undermanned LAFC team 3-1.

Led by three Best 11 members in Nico Lodiero, Raul Ruidiaz, and Jordan Morris the Sounders saw a goal each from these 3 superstars. LAFC was missing some talent, however, it was evident that the Sounders had the better squad 1-11 on the pitch.

“We showed maturity as a team,” Nicolas Lodeiro said afterward through an interpreter. “There are certain things we need to improve, of course, but in general it was a real good game. Beyond the individual efforts, as a team we played really, really well.”
