The Seattle University Redhawks go to 1-1 in conference play as they took a split on the road against Chicago State and Missouri-Kansas City. The road series took that Redhawks to 8-9 on the season, and we could have quite easily seen the Redhawks go above .500 if they could have taken a triple overtime game from the UMKC Kangaroos.

The Redhawks had an offensive outburst this week that started with an 86 point effort in triple overtime against the University of Missouri at Kansas City Kangaroos. Senior Morgan Means led the way with 21 points including hitting all 10 of his free throws. Junior Terrell Brown scored 20 additional points as well.
Unfortunately, Means, Brown, and senior Myles Carter all had foul trouble as each of them fouled out in the game. Sophomore Riley Grigsby got quite a few more minutes than normal due to fouls, and came up big with 15 points, including 2 free throws with 1:30 left in the 3rd overtime to put the Redhawks up 86-85. However, the Kangaroos would make a 5-0 run in the final minute and a half as Seattle U unfortunately ran out of firepower.

The Redhawks rolled into the Windy city on Saturday to take on the Cougars of Chicago State and left with a convincing win. Senior guard Mattia Da Campo came off the bench to score 18 points with 12 of those points from behind the 3 point line. The Italian had 8 rebounds, a steal and an assist to go with his points.

Terrell Brown had another good night with 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists. Add in the efforts of seniors Delante Jones and Morgan Means who had 11 points a piece and you get an effort that earned the Redhawks their 1st road victory of the season.
