Jewell Loyd scored 23 points on 9 – 12 shooting to lead the Seattle Storm to an 89-76 victory over the Washington Mystics. WNBA MVP Breanna Stewart added 20 points as the Storm won game 1 of the WNBA Finals.

A packed crowd of 11,486 saw the Storm dominate form beginning to end in a game where the Mystics did not even look to be in the same class. The Storm have now won 4 consecutive games in the playoffs as they look to secure their 3rd WNBA title.
Sue Bird had 7 assists on a night were the Storm handed out 23 assists on the night. A 3rd title would cement Sue Bird as perhaps the greatest point guard in WNBA history.
